Lineage of instructors

Right down to the current instructors of Shotokan Karate, the lineage in handing down knowledge, tradition and ethics has been unbroken for over a century. It is to these forefathers that we dedicate our efforts. We take upon us the responsibility of furthering our studies today, every day, into the future so that the next generations will receive a rich heritage in the noble art and way of life, as passed on to us by our predecessors. I am lucky that my life led me to these great masters who have all been so generous to karate and to me. I hereby pledge my dedication to hand over this legacy in as best and as faithful manner as it was handed over to me and to many others.
