Born in 1945 and resident in Britain since 1974.

Started martial arts in Judo at the age of 15.
-
First instructor in Karate was Sensei Tsuyama, now Technical Director
of the Japan Karate Federation.

First at High School and subsequentely at the Takushoku University,
he continued to train with Sensei Tsuyama, 6 days per week, 3 hours
a day for 4 years.

Praised by Nakayama Sensei upon graduating as a JKA instructor:
“Through his mastery of karate basics he has come to reach
a level few achieve. His technique inspires all who see it, to strive
for the ideals of Shotokan Karate.”

Dedicated to tradition, quality and manners.

He promotes Shotokan Karate all over the globe.

He is now 8th Dan, co-founder of the World Shotokan Institute and
Technical Director in the International Traditional Karate Federation,
with Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama.
